About us
Taekwon-Do has been taught in Abingdon since 1976. Originally classes were run in the Old Gaol & following its’ closure in 2002 we relocated to the White Horse Leisure Centre.
We are members of the United Kingdom
Taekwon-Do Association, founded in 1967 by Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha
(5th Dan at the time) who introduced Taekwon-Do to the UK. The UKTA
is a member of the British Taekwon-Do Council and is also part of a much larger
group – The International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF).
In addition to the badges of the UKTA and ITF we also wear the badge of the
previous Instructor of the Abingdon Taekwon-Do school, the late
Mr Michael Miller IV Dan. Mr Miller tragically died several years
ago and the badge is worn out of respect to him and in his memory.
